We have something very exciting in store for all tennis and sports fans… an exclusive limited-edition capsule collection, created in collaboration with Olympic tennis star and US and Australia Open champion Naomi Osaka, has landed online this December! Inspired by Naomi’s multifaceted background and inspiring successes, this new line beautifully blends the minimalist and contemporary aesthetic of the Scottish brand with Naomi’s cutting-edge style, while embracing her passion for design.
The Strathberry silhouettes are reinvented with a sporty, almost futuristic touch, embodying both Naomi’s competitive spirit and our understated elegance. Featuring five handbags and two small wallets, the capsule sees the debut of a brand-new shape. Sculptural and contemporary, the new Ace Bag incorporates the Strathberry signature metal bar and a wrapped leather handle - skilfully crafted by hand - which is a subtle nod to the design of a tennis racquet grip. A unique design that will surely turn heads and make a statement!
Simple yet bold, the colour palette of lime green, vanilla and pink tones is enhanced by the reflective quality of the silver weave, which alludes to the innovative look of technical fabrics found in sportswear. With premium craftsmanship and attention to detail at the very core, this collection reflects Naomi’s double-sided sense of identity, experimenting with textures and shapes that are both beautifully feminine and powerfully edgy.
The campaign, featuring Naomi through the lens of photography duo Ahmad Barber + Donté Maurice, was styled by the inimitable celebrity stylist Law Roach. Sharp tailoring in bold colours and classic black & white enhance Naomi’s natural beauty, while showcasing the beautiful and contemporary lines of the Strathberry designs.
To celebrate the launch, we’re proud to support Naomi’s newly launched charity ‘Play Academy’ through a donation to the organization. The Play Academy is a grassroots initiative, which is aimed at changing girl’s lives through play and sport.
