Designer: For the Kite collection, we drew inspiration from the idea of modern minimalism. We wanted to create something that’s not only functional but also versatile, designed to accompany every woman’s movement with effortless ease. Just like a kite, our bag moves lightly and freely. The soft silhouette and luxurious materials reflect a fusion of form and function, where every detail has a purpose, and the overall look feels elevated but not overdone.
Designer: The Kite brings a subtle, sculpted softness to the collection, balancing delicate contours whilst keeping to our brand’s architectural identity. The Kite Hobo Maxi also brings a larger scale than some of our other shapes.
Designer: The hardware for the Kite collection is an amplified version of the original signature hardware. It secures the closure of the Kite whilst also acting as a statement piece, balancing structure and softness in one bold gesture. In the design meetings, our co-founder Leeanne always likes to refer to the hardware of the bag as “jewellery for the bag” – we looked to our T-bar jewellery collection for the hardware for the Kite.
Designer: During the final development of the design process, we added the popper closure. We noticed through staff wear trials that the bag wasn’t closing as neatly as we’d hoped, so we added it to improve functionality. Form and function working together, right to the finish line.
Designer: My favourite part of the bag is the suede lining and the spacious internal zipped detachable pouch that holds all your essentials.... I hate hunting for my keys in a big bag!
Designer: The Kite bag is the perfect companion for a boho-inspired summer. For a laid-back look, pair it with classic jeans, a crisp white shirt, and flats. Or to dress it up, style it with a tailored blazer and trousers. The Kite instantly elevates any ensemble. It’s a true statement piece that adapts effortlessly to whatever you’re wearing when moving through life.
